Finally, I got paid by Google AdSense. I had a blog many years ago but it was never $100- With the current blog, I finally made over $100 and got paid!

So here are my thoughts-
First, making money with Google AdSense is hard- My blog is still too small- And I need to open YouTube but that won’t happen until Spring Break (earliest)…
Why is it hard to make money with Google AdSense? Well, first, you need to be big. But it’s hard to attract anyone’s attention’s these days. Plus, my content needs to be improved. Good posts easily take more than 4hr+ but currently with a one year old baby, teaching, research, and investing/trading that is extremely hard.
But no worries, I will write up more informative posts soon. All about producing value and making it relevant 😀
Second, I have no idea how Google AdSense payment works. Sometimes, it would be $6 dollars! I will be like wow! Then it would be zero for few days. No idea how they decide how much to pay you. And of course, I went online to do some research and people are not happy- But Google does pay the most and they can’t divulge their algorithm or people will scam Google, which I perfectly understand. But somedays, I really have no clue what is going on.
Third, Google forces you to constantly to produce content, which is super hard. How do I know this? My wife has blog that earns about $100 a month, which is awesome- And once she could not post much because she had to take care of our son, the AdSense payment dropped like a rock. For me, this is hard. I am barely sleeping 5 hrs these days- Also, thinking of new content is so hard. No wonder there are so many reaction videos and eating videos on YouTube. In terms of blog, I see people breaking their content to pieces so they can post more often. Not easy being a content producer-
However, the good news is that I enjoy blogging, I just wish I had more time.
But still very thankful that I can blog and make money- The first $100 took me some time but I hope the next $100 will take less time. It’s good to have another source of income 😀
