Pennsylvania governor will ban sale of alcohol the day before Thanksgiving–
Wow…this seems very stupid-
First, people will just buy ahead of time.
Second, there will be people selling illegally now for those who couldn’t buy alcohol before. So booze just became more expensive and you are making some people criminals now.
Third, the government will lose on the booze tax- Isn’t PA in a world of hurt already due to drop in tax revenues?
Fourth, it won’t do much stop the COVID19 spread- People will still get together even with less alcohol-
I was at Target and Walmart the other day and people were loading their carts with food and drinks. Despite the CA governor banning more than 10 people gathering, the shopping carts clearly showed food and drinks for more than 10- Thanksgiving is happening-
In sum, this ban is ineffective-
However, it will hopefully wake up the people to vote for those who advocate freedom and accountability not for those who just shut down because….
