[Research] Hal Varian’s Experiment about Google

Today, I would like to review some of the clever experiments that I liked.

One experiment is straightforward and super effective.

Hal Varian, chief economist of Google, designed an experiment where students were randomly assigned to do research on a topic. One group used Google and the group used library books.

Of course, the group used that used Google finished the task much much faster.

Therefore, Google saves time and increases productivity compared to books.

What a simple and clever experiment 😀

I love this kind of clever experiments.

I wonder how Google would compete with Bing, Yahoo, and other search engines.

Anyway, Varian’s experiment is clever and super effective-

Thank You Jesus for all Your wisdom. Let us be humble and become wiser every day-

PS

I can’t find the text about Varian’s experiment. It may have been from a book…let me know if someone can find/google it-
