Today, I read YCG Investment’s 2020Q3 letter.
The letter is quite short but packed with wisdom. They share a parable of the farmer where the main takeaway is that uncertain events can lead to good things and bad things. So don’t panic and be patient.
I totally agree with YCG, as 2020 has been CRAZY- I started swing trading. Thank You Jesus for a new skill-
Bankrupt stocks like Hertz shot up to the sky- SPAC wave- IPOs popping like the 2000s- So much insanity….
The good news is that 2020 is almost over- And I really learned a lot. I am thankful that I had some discipline and did not instantly react to events. Yup, experience matters. I do believe that I have leveled up a bit in 2020.
Soon we will be in 2021…I expect continued craziness as long as lockdowns persist- More civil unrest and bad political moves are also expected. 2021 will be as wild as 2020.
I do think gold will do well- Oil will catch up as demand picks up- REITs will continue to recover. So I plan to be long gold, oil, and REITs-
