[Economics] Food Shortage and Food Inflation

Vietnam buys rice from India…

What’s wrong with that? Trade is good.

But this shows the demand for food is increasing but the supply is somwhat limited.

Third largest rice producer buying from the first rice producer shows that there is huge demand but limited supply.

If food price goes up like 10 years ago, there will be a lot of unrest in the world.

Given that COVID19 already has stressed out the world, food inflation and food storage will ignite the world on fire.

2021 doesn’t look so optimistic- When people are hungry- There will be lot of unrest-

What can we do? Well, you can stockpile some food so inflation and shortage doesn’t affect you as much.

I personally have about 8 months of rice. I will probably get some more. Have ton of Spam. Some canned food.

I think I will go buy some more pasta-

Definitely, buy some food while it is cheaper.

Also, don’t forget to help your neighbor. US has already has huge food insecurity. Please consider donating to your local food banks so that they can have enough food and also get less affected by food inflation/shortage.

Praying for the best but always prepare for the worst.

Thank You Jesus for all Your love and mercy. Let us always be thankful and love You with all our strength and serve our neighbors.

Rejoice at all times. Pray without ceasing. Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
