Didn’t Jack foresee this? Trump has 80 million followers and there is a lot of conservatives in the US. Trump is also popular abroad. He has fans in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and India (any country that is dealing with CCP).

Also, didn’t he think that people will get upset and criticize him, even the super leftist president of Mexico criticized Twitter.

Pretty bad move. Really showed who is in control of free speech in the digital era and people are not happy.

Twitter will see more exodus. Plus, there will be even more trolls. Twitter gave a reason to be hated and to be trolled. Decreased number of users and increased trolling will definitely hit Twitter hard financially.

Did Jack think that the Democrats and woke people will buy more ads in Twitter after his move?

Jack is not stupid. He runs Twitter and Square. So did he become crazy because for his zeal for social justice? I doubt it.

I personally think that he was forced to kick out Trump and then Facebook, Amazon, and others all followed by whatever pressure.

I don’t believe in conspiracy theories. But something like a Deep State does seem to exist. Some elite organization is pushing these moves and FAANG has to follow for some reason- May be the CEOs are part of the organization or are blackmailed? I am not sure but it is crazy and scary that there is a group of elites that can supreme power over the digital world.

So back to Twitter- Will Twitter disappear? Probably, not. It’s still the best megaphone. Parler is down and won’t match Twitter for some time.

Will the stock drop? Of course. Few years ago, when Twitter missed earnings, the stock dropped 20%- Yup, expect a stock drop when Twitter misses earnings-

Should you short the stock? Well, shorting is very difficult and too painful.

For now, I would just stay out of Twitter- There are plenty of good opportunities in REITs and gold miners.
